Our beautiful facility provides an amazing sensory stimulating experience in our Lorax Sensory room. Equipped with life size Lorax murals, an 80" superactive LED bubble tube (featuring wireless controller with 9 switches & 8 colors), a 60" interactive plasma whiteboard with over 100 sensory, academic, and interactive games, a 15' tactile wall to stimulate all 5 senses, 12 life size trufella trees, a star projector with over 5100 stars, a wall of waterfall fiber optics, a 4 1/2 foot illuminated marble wall and a multitude of sensory activities. Senses can be used to help us relax and to calm down; they can be used to make us more alert, to promote social interaction, and to help us interact with our environment.

a part of Quest?
Sensory preferences are specific to each individual, what calms one person may irritate another. Sensory input is especially helpful for persons with autism, blindness, or any type of functioning impairment. Our Clinical team conducts in-person assessments to create participant-specific treatment plans. The support professionals and family (if requested) are taught innovative approaches to sensory utilization, behavior management, and environment integration. This therapeutic method to service delivery provides a full circle of care; one where the participant, the family, the support professionals, and the treatment team work in unison to encompass a complete approach to care.
